Hi Kindergarten Families,
So it's here! Our last full week of kindergarten (sniff, sniff!). I can't believe it! We have lots of things going on this week, so I am diving right in!
*We had an in-house field trip today with a marine biologist who works for the City of Jax and two interns. These enthusiastic ladies brought all kinds of hands-on specimens for the children to touch and explore, a power-point presentation on protecting our coastal ecosystems, coloring pages, and even a certificate of completion for the class they taught! I am posting lots of pics here on our page too.
*I will go ahead and let you know, just in case you need to shop, that your children need to be dressed in church attire for graduation (dresses and dress shoes for girls, long dress pants and dress shoes for boys. Ties are optional as they will have on graduation gowns. More info about graduation will go home on Tuesday.
*We are doing benchmark testing Monday and Tuesday. Sight word testing will also be this week, along with John 3:16. This will be our last week of curriculum and testing. YAY!
*Please make sure your child attends school every day from now until graduation if at all possible. We are practicing daily and they need to present for practice.
*We rescheduled our party until next Wednesday. This will be a pizza party. If you could send in $3.00 for your child, that will cover the cost of the pizza and drinks. I will provide sides, desserts, and table ware.
*If your child has any outstanding work from absences, please make sure it is turned in by Friday.
Have a blessed last full week of school everyone!
